Privacy Shield update – circa 200 le società aderenti a un mese dall’inizio

A settembre 2016, sono circa 200 le società registrate sotto l’EU-US Privacy Shield, secondo il sito ufficiale del Dipartimento del Commercio USA. L'elenco include Microsoft e Salesforce, come grandi multinazionali. Il Privacy Shield è entrato in vigore il 1° agosto 2016 in sostituzione del Safe Harbor, dichiarato nullo in ottobre 2015. Windows 10 e privacy: dubbi del CNIL

EU Digital Clearing House to protect privacy in the age of big data

On September 23, 2016, the European Data Protection Supervisor (EDPS) announced the intention to set up a Digital Clearing House to promote a more coherent enforcement of EU privacy rules. Privacy Shield: over 200 active participants after one month and a half

As of mid September 2016, 203 companies were active under the EU-US Privacy Shield, according to the US Department of Commerce official website. The list does not include large multinationals apart from Microsoft and Salesforce. The Privacy Shield Framework became effective on August 1, 2016, replacing the Safe Harbor which was declared invalid on October 2015.
