The US & Switzerland sign new Privacy Shield Framework to allow data transfer

On January 12, 2017, Switzerland approved the Swiss-U.S. Privacy Shield Framework. Switzerland considers the agreement as a valid legal mechanism to comply with Swiss requirements when transferring personal data from Switzerland to the United States. The Swiss-U.S. Privacy Shield Framework will replace the U.S.-Swiss Safe Harbor immediately. Switzerland will begin accepting Privacy Shield certifications starting on April 12, 2017. Microsoft addresses Windows 10 privacy flaws

On January 10, 2017, Terry Myerson, Window’s Executive Vice President, published a post acknowledging Window’s 10 privacy concerns and disclosing which actions have been taken  to solve the issue. Privacy Shield update – circa 1300 le società aderenti a quattro mesi dall’inizio

A dicembre 2016 erano circa 1300 le società registrate sotto l’EU-US Privacy Shield, secondo il sito ufficiale del Dipartimento del Commercio USA. Il Privacy Shield è ormai in vigore da più di quattro mesi in sostituzione del Safe Harbor, che nel 2016 aveva circa 5.500 partecipanti.
